COVID 19 UPDATES

We hope everybody is staying safe during this uncomfortable time we are all facing.

As we write this update, in the third week of May 2020, there are no flights operating to Haida Gwaii, BC ferries has enforced some travel limitations, and the Council of the Haida Nation has declared a state of emergency and issued some drastic travel restrictions for all visitors to Haida Gwaii.​

​Most local events of the summer have been canceled and many businesses are closed and plan to remain closed for the season.

Because of the uncertainty as to the evolution of the pandemic and the restrictions that may be imposed by the nation and/or the province, we are unable at this point to tell if this year's edition of the event will take place. Since it is due to take place in the early fall, we may be able to organize an event, though it may be a smaller version of it, or without some of the elements that we usually are able to put together.
